Fall Sport Scholar-Athlete Program Recognition

The Highlands School District is rolling out its Scholar-Athlete program, beginning with recognizing the student-athletes that excelled in the classroom in the 2020 Fall Sport season. Four Golden Rams Named To All-Section Team

Four seniors were named to the all-section first team with defensive end Wahkeem Roman, defensive tackle Jeremiah Nelson, inside linebacker Jeremiah Saunders, and wide receiver DJ Loveland. Chandler Thimons Nominated as Cover Three Athletics Player of the Week

For his performance in last week’s 35-0 win against Greensburg Salem, sophomore quarterback Chandler Thimons has been nominated as the Cover Three Athletics Player of the Week. Also nominated is Laurel Highlands’ Rodney Gallagher, Gateway’s Derrick Davis, and Mapletown’s Lance Stephenson. Voting will be open until tomorrow. Varsity Football vs. Greensburg Salem Game Info

The varsity football season will conclude the regular season tonight with a home game vs. Greensburg Salem, slated to kick off at 7 p.m. The game will serve as Senior Night for our players, cheerleaders, and band members. Varsity Football At Armstrong Will Be Live Streamed

Tonight’s varsity football game at Armstrong will be available via live stream for those unable to attend the game. Armstrong will be allowing two tickets per kid on the roster into tonight’s game. Occupancy Expands for Varsity Football at Golden Rams Stadium

In response to Governor Wolf’s eased guidelines for safe gathering limits, Highlands School District is expanding its number of participants and spectators permitted at the Varsity Football game vs. Indiana on Friday, Oct. 9.
